Censorship in Shows and Movies

Making shows and movies is nothing less than an art form, and censorship puts a limit on this. It stops people from saying what they really want to say, from expressing what they really want to express. Hence, censorship is a restriction on free speech. Censorship is literally the opinion of a select few imposed on the wider society. How is that different than in a dictatorship where free speech is limited?
